The GAMeC – Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Bergamo is one of the main art centers of northern Italy. Opened in 1991, the Municipality of Bergamo and Credito Bergamasco engaged in the development of a policy to promote modern and contemporary art which achieved a real hub of art, composed of Pinacoteca dell’Accademia Carrara, Accademia di Belle Arti and Galleria.
